Peter Cetera - The Glory of Love
Tonight it's very clear, as we're both standing here,
there's so many things I want to say
I will always love you, I will never leave you alone.
Sometimes I just forget, say things I might regret,
it breaks my heart to see you crying.
I don't want to lose you,
I could never make it alone.
I am a man who would fight for your honor,
I'll be the hero you're dreaming of.
We'll live forever,knowing together
that we did it all for the glory of love.
You keep me standing tall, you help me through it all,
I'm always strong when you're beside me.
I have always needed you,
I could never make it alone.
I am a man who would fight for your honor,
I'll be the hero you're dreaming of.
We'll live forever,knowing together
that we did it all for the glory of love.
Just like a knight in shining armor,
from a long time ago.
Just in time I will save the day,
take you to my castle far away.
I am a man who would fight for your honor,
I'll be the hero you're dreaming of.
We'll live forever,knowing together
that we did it all for the glory of love.
We'll live forever, knowing together
that we did it all for the glory of love.
Johnny Cash: Come along and Ride This Train
Come along and ride this train come along and ride this rain
Cross the mountains prairies reservations rivers levees plains
Come along and ride this train
**********
3. Medley:
(Ride this train
Ride this train with me to where the great Interstate highways cross the country
A hundred years ago over that very ground long before the roads were there
The lonely pony express rider carried the mail
Then came the stagecoach with people and supplies moving across country
Today carrying on that tradition is the modern mover of America
The man behind the wheel the truck driver)
Fever - Peggy Lee
The late great Peggy Lee, a favorite of mine (I'm a huge Jazz fan). Peggy was a singer in The Benny Goodman Orchestra before going solo. You may also know her as the voice of the Siamese Cats in Disneys 'Lady and The Tramp.'
Doc Watson - 1991 - Black Mountain Rag
Doc Watson - 1991 - Black Mountain Rag. I've included Doc's introduction and explanation of his background with this particular tune.
I've always loved the interesting anecdote that Doc developed his now legendary flatpicking style while playing a Les Paul (electric solid body guitar) while he was playing in a Rockabilly band in the 1950's. Additionally, I've heard that he actually didn't even own an acoustic guitar at that time.
It's interesting that this style has since become associated with, nearly exclusively, acoustic guitars, particularly Martin dreadnoughts.
I've always wondered what kind of reception a picker would get at the National Flatpicking Contest in Winfield Kansas if he were to show up to compete with a Les Paul in hand!

Heart - Alone
Alone
(Lyrics)
I hear the ticking of the clock
I'm lying here the room's pitch dark
I wonder where you are tonight
No answer on the telephone
And the night goes by so very slow
Oh I hope that it won't end though
Alone
CHORUS:
Till now I always got by on my own
I never really cared until I met you
And now it chills me to the bone
How do I get you alone
How do I get you alone
You don't know how long I have wanted
To touch your lips and hold you tight
You don't know how long I have waited
You don't know how long I have waited
And I was gonna tell you tonight
But the secret is still my own
And my love for you is still unknown
Alone
CHORUS
How do I get you alone
How do I get you alone
Alone, alone (less)

George Harrison: Got My Mind Set on You
The song was written by Rudy Clark and originally recorded by James Ray in 1962. This cover version by former Beatle George Harrison from his album Cloud Nine reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 1988. Two music videos were released for that song and a young Alexis Denisof starred in the music video. Produced by Harrison and former ELO member Jeff Lynne, the song was his third and last solo US number one, after "My Sweet Lord" in 1970 and "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)" in 1973. It was also the last number one single, to date, by any of the solo Beatles in the United States. The single's B-side is "Lay His Head", written by Harrison. The 12" version of the single also adds an extended version of "Got My Mind Set On You". The song was #3 in the United World Chart.

Traveling Wilburys End of the Line
"End of the Line" is the last track from Traveling Wilburys' first album, Volume 1, released in 1988. It is the last entry on the album, and its riding-on-the-rails rhythm suggests its theme and the on-the-move nature of the group. It features all the Wilburys, except Bob Dylan, as lead singers; Harrison, Lynne, and Orbison sing the chorus in turn, while Petty sings the verses.
George Harrison's opening guitar chords might be heard as reminiscent of his opening chords in The Beatles' song "I'm Looking Through You". The song then expands into a "freight train" rhythm to underscore its theme.
It was released as the second single from the album. The sleeve cover of the 45 rpm single, photographed four days after the death of Roy Orbison in December 1988, features a guitar in a rocking chair. The same image appeared in the music video for the single, with the camera focusing on the guitar during Orbison's solo vocal parts.
The song was used over the end credits of the final episode of the British sitcom One Foot in the Grave. A version sung by Dennis Waterman was used as the theme tune for the pilot of another BBC production, New Tricks, although this was soon replaced by a similar-sounding song, "It's All Right", by Mike Moran, which is easily mistaken for End of the Line.
Tom Petty has been noted to play this song live in his most recent US tour.

SIMPLE MINDS "Alive And Kicking"
."What you gonna do when things go wrong?
What you gonna do when it all cracks up?
What you gonna do when the Love burns down?
What you gonna do when the flames go up?
Who is gonna come and turn the tide?
What's it gonna take to make a dream survive?
Who's got the touch to calm the storm inside?
Who's gonna save you?
Alive and Kicking...
Stay until your love is, Alive and Kicking"..
What you gonna do when it all cracks up?
What you gonna do when the Love burns down?
What you gonna do when the flames go up?
Who is gonna come and turn the tide?
What's it gonna take to make a dream survive?

SIMPLE MINDS Don't You (Forget About Me)
"Don't You (Forget About Me)"
Hey, hey, hey ,hey
Ohhh...
Won't you come see about me?
I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby.
Tell me your troubles and doubts,
Giving me everything inside and out and
Love's strange so real in the dark,
Think of the tender things that we were working on,
Slow change may pull us apart,
When the light gets into your heart, baby
Don't you forget about me.
Don't, don't, don't, don't.
Don't you forget about me.
Will you stand above me?
Look my way, never love me,
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling,
Down, down, down.
Will you recognise me?
Call my name or walk on by?
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling,
Down, down, down, down.
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Ohhhh...
Don't you try to pretend,
It's my feeling we'll win in the end.
I won't harm you or touch your defenses,
Vanity and security.
Don't you forget about me,
I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby.
Going to take you apart,
I'll put us back together at heart, baby.
Don't you forget about me.
Don't, don't, don't, don't.
Don't you forget about me.
As you walk on by,
Will you call my name?
As you walk on by,
Will you call my name?
When you walk away.
Or will you walk away?
Will you walk on by?
Come on - call my name
Will you all my name?
I say : La la la...
Hey, hey, hey ,hey
Ohhh...
Won't you come see about me?
I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby.
Tell me your troubles and doubts,

Eddie Brickell and the New Bohemians - What I Am
I'm not aware of too many things
I know what I know, if you know what I mean
Philosophy is the talk on a cereal box
Religion is the smile on a dog
I'm not aware of too many things
I know what I know, if you know what I mean, d-doo yeah
Choke me in the shallow waters
Before I get too deep
What I am is what I am
Are you what you are or what?
What I am is what I am
Are you what you are or
Oh, I'm not aware of too many things
I know what I know, if you know what I mean
Philosophy is a walk on the slippery rocks
Religion is a light in the fog
I'm not aware of too many things
I know what I know, if you know what I mean, d-doo yeah
Choke me in the shallow water
Before I get too deep
What I am is what I am
Are you what you are or what?
What I am is what I am
Are you what you are or what?
What I am is what I am
Are you what you are or what?
What I am is what I am
Are you what you are or what you are and
What I am is what I am
Are you what you are or what?
Don't let me get too deep
Don't let me get too deep
Don't let me get too deep
Don't let me get too deep
Choke me in the shallow water
Before I get too deep
Choke me in the shallow water
Before I get too deep

David Lanz Christofori's Dream
Biography by Linda Kohanov
One of the most popular artists in the solo instrumental and adult-alternative spheres, Lanz played in several rock bands during his teens, then began developing his style as a solo pianist in a small Seattle nightclub. He introduced some of his originals into the bar's required mix of standards and pop tunes, receiving such a positive response from patrons that, before long, he was playing his own material almost exclusively. His early albums of solo piano works are still among the Narada label's best-sellers. His two collaborative efforts with guitarist Paul Speer also hit the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart; yet as Lanz's national popularity grew, he began to experiment with works for larger and larger ensembles, culminating in full orchestral accompaniments on Skyline Firedance (1990). With 1991's Return to the Heart, he journeyed back to his solo piano roots, and made his vocal debut on 1993's Bridge of Dreams. Lanz remained prolific throughout the decade, resurfacing in 1994 with Christmas Eve; Sacred Road followed in 1996, and two years later he returned with Songs from an English Garden. Next was An Evening with David Lanz, issued in 1999; East of the Moon appeared a year later.
Alison Moyet on David Letterman "Tenderness"
This is Alison Moyet doing the Otis Redding (or whoever did the original) song "Try a Little Tenderness." She's a big ol' girl with a big ol' voice. She's amazingly brilliant.
Biography by Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Alison Moyet, a British pop singer with a remarkably bluesy voice, began her professional career with synth pop duo Yazoo (Yaz in the U.S.) in the early '80s. In 1983, Moyet began a solo career, releasing her debut album, Alf, the following year. Alf was a major success in Britain, hitting number one on the charts and launching the hit singles "Invisible," "All Cried Out," and "Love Resurrection"; it was a minor hit in the U.S., with "Invisible" cracking the Top 40. During 1985, Moyet toured with a jazz band led by John Altman; the group recorded a version of Billie Holiday's "That Ole Devil Called Love," which became her biggest British hit, even though the group received poor reviews.
In 1986, Moyet had another major U.K. hit with "Is This Love?," which was released while she was recording her second solo album. Raindancing appeared in 1987 and it was another big British hit, peaking at number two and featuring the Top Ten hits "Weak in the Presence of Beauty" and "Love Letters." The record wasn't quite as successful in the U.S., peaking at number 94. In 1991, she released her third album, Hoodoo, which was her most musically ambitious collection to date. However, it didn't match the commercial success of her previous albums, failing to chart in America. Essex, her fourth album, appeared in 1994 and she released a greatest-hits collection, Singles, the following year. After a near-nine-year layoff, she returned with Hometime produced by the production team the Insects. Two years later and filled with standards, Voice arrived. In 2005, the album was reissued in America with her version of "Alfie" as a bonus track.
